Luján Statement Commemorating Veterans Day

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.), issued the following statement to commemorate Veterans Day, celebrated every year on November 11th:  

“New Mexico is proud to have a long history of answering the call to serve. This Veterans Day, I join a grateful nation who is inspired by the stories of bravery and sacrifice from our service members, and honor these heroes for their unwavering commitment to our country,” said Lujan. “Today, our nation not only honors these brave service members and mourns those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, but also takes a moment to reflect on how we can better meet the needs of the veteran community. As a member of the United States Senate, I will continue to fight for veterans in New Mexico and across the country, and ensure they get the benefits they have earned and deserve.”
